Truly, deciding what you want is the hardest part! The actual welding process is pretty quick and will take around 5-10 minutes depending on what you get.
Permanent jewelry is a custom-fitted chain, such as a bracelet, anklet, or necklace that is welded shut with a quick, painless micro-welding process. Instead of a clasp, a small jump ring connects the ends of the chain, creating a seamless, "forever" piece.
Yes, when performed by a professional using proper safety measures and quality materials, the welding process is generally safe.
A protective barrier, such as a piece of leather, is placed on the skin to shield it from heat and sparks.
Important: Customers with pacemakers should not get permanent jewelry due to the welding process.
I use 14k gold-filled, and sterling silver chains. They are great options for permanent jewelry because they are hypoallergenic and durable.
I am picky about the materials I work with for permanent jewelry.
14K gold-filled chain is really resistant to tarnishing which makes it a great option for permanent jewelry. There are few people whose body pH reacts when changes happen hormonally or environmentally. This may make your skin turn green or black, but it washes right off. It does not affect the quality of the chain and as soon as those factors level back out, the jewelry will stop changing your skin.
*Please avoid products with sulfur in them if you have gold-filled jewelry. This ingredient in particular will damage gold-filled jewelry. There are some rx facial cleansers with it in them.
Sterling Silver naturally tarnishes, but the more you wear it, the better it looks. The natural friction and oil from your body will help keep your silver nice and shiny. When exposed to certain chemicals like hot tubs or pools, you may notice the piece looks tarnished. Usually it’ll shine back up within a few days of wearing it. If for any reason it starts looking dull, you can rub a polishing cloth over it to shine it back up.
Steer Clear of Harsh Chemicals: Guard your jewelry against exposure to harsh chemicals present in cleaning agents, chlorine, and certain cosmetics. These substances can tarnish or corrode the metal over time, diminishing its brilliance.
It's designed for 24/7 wear, including showering and swimming.
To maintain the shine, clean it gently with soap and water and avoid harsh chemicals.
Tarnishing is a natural process for metals like sterling silver; proper care will help.
Every customer will receive a Care Card at their appointment.
It has almost 100x more gold than plated does. The gold is bonded to the base metal instead of plated so it can’t rub off. It does not expose the skin to the base metal making it hypoallergenic. The layer of gold is thick enough to make it perfect for everyday wear, and since it’s not solid gold the price point is much more affordable. If you take care of your gold-filled pieces, they can last a lifetime.
Absolutely, I’ve got you covered!
If you decide later that you want your chain welded on I will remove the clasp and weld the jump ring on at no extra cost.
If you decide later that you want your jump ring removed to add a clasp you may also choose that option (this is an extra charge of $10.00).
No, the welding process itself is painless. The main feeling is a slight sensation of heat.
I offer re-welding services with the first one being free and a small fee of $5.00 after.
Yes, you can easily remove it yourself by cutting the jump ring with small scissors or snips.
Important: You may need to remove it for medical procedures like MRIs. You may come in to have it removed for a procedure and come back in to have it welded back on.
Yes, fine metals like gold and sterling silver generally do not set off metal detectors at the airport.
Pricing varies depending on the type of metal (e.g., 14K gold-filled vs. Sterling Silver) and the length of the chain.
No, all cut chains are final sales.
Endless Chains Permanent Jewelry & Boutique is not liable for lost chains.
Use a gentle cleaning solution made of warm water and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners as they can damage your jewelry. Cleaning Technique: Dip a soft-bristled brush into the soapy water and gently scrub the bracelet to loosen any dirt or grime.
Permanent jewelry can last a lifetime with proper care and maintenance. The durability largely depends on the material used, such as 14K gold-filled and sterling silver, which are known for their resilience.
